i brought you a coffee, just the way you like it. From Nero to Claire Redfield 🩷

The hours pass her by like a breeze, Claire's entire focus directed at her motorbike. She vaguely notes that the light spilling from her window has dimmed since she last checked, but it's no more than a distant thought, slipping from her grasp as quickly as it came. Ever since she last met with Dante, her mind was racing with ideas for improvements to her bike. It was so rare for her to find someone who spoke her language when it came to mechanics, she was beyond excited to show him the final product.
With music blasting in her ears, it's impossible to hear anything beyond her headphones. The gentle hand on her shoulder startles her, dropping the wrench that was tightly in her grip until just now - thankfully it didn't ruin any of the work she had gotten done so far. Her headphones are slid down to her neck, the loud Queen song still audible, as Claire turns slightly to find the culprit.
"Scared me!" She gives a light smack to his leg - the closest thing she can reach from her sitting position on the floor - though there's no bite behind it or her words. It's very likely that Nero did announce his presence when he came in, and Claire just didn't hear him. Wouldn't be the first time anyway.
The exaggerated accusatory expression instantly vanishes once she lays eyes on the coffee he's holding, replaced by a wide, bright smile. "You remembered!" It's said as if Nero hadn't brought her coffee many times before, especially on afternoons where she was so focused on her bike, she'd forget to eat.
Claire holds onto his hand for support as she hoists herself up, making use of the closeness to press a quick kiss to his lips. "Thank you. I have the best boyfriend." She swiftly picks up the coffee from his hold, but instead of immediately drinking it, she slides her arms around his neck. "Sorry I've been distracted." She did hate not spending time with him - it was just impossible to ignore the itch she'd get to work on her bike sometimes. "How about I take a break?" Brows raise expectantly, the corners of her lips curling in amusement. "I'll make it up to you."
